Learning Community Model

Under a new, research-based model to enhance children’s relationships with both their peers and educators through longer periods of time in one space, our ELC is comprised of two captivating Learning Communities:

  • Learning Community 1
    Children aged 2 to 3.5 years
    Stonyfell and Bell Yett rooms
  • Learning Community 2
    Children aged 3.5 to 5 years
    Ferguson and Hallett rooms

Younger children learn different skills from interacting with older children and gain emotional support from them, while older children develop the desire to help, lead and become role models for their peers.

We place importance on values, traditions and practices that inspire the children and influence the way they connect with others and their world. Under our unique, evidence-based Learning Community model, children’s social and emotional skill development can flourish.
