Julia Shea became St Peter’s Girls’ 12th Principal at the start of 2014.
She is a distinguished educator with a wealth of leadership experience. She holds a Master of Education Administration (University of New England) and a Bachelor of Science degree (University of Tasmania).
Julia served more than a decade as Deputy Head (Head of Learning and Teaching) at Newington College, a respected all-boys' school in Sydney. Prior to that, she was Newington’s Head of Mathematics, a discipline she remains extremely passionate about. Julia is a leading advocate of single-sex education, who enrolled her three daughters at St Peter’s Girls when she joined the School community.
Under her leadership, the School has undertaken a series of building works to transform the campus for the learners of tomorrow. She has also been guiding comprehensive Strategic Plans featuring initiatives across areas including academics, wellbeing and co-curricular.
