Middle School

St Peter’s Girls' new Middle School features open and flexible learning spaces, enhanced views of the stunning wilderness in neighbouring Ferguson Park and new technology to stimulate young minds.

Deputy Principal and Head of Middle School Richard Lisle shares why there’s never been a better time to be in Middle School at Saints Girls:

Spanning Years 7 - 9, our Middle School is an engrossing learning environment that provides for the specific academic needs of adolescent girls, as well as their expanding and developing social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual domains.

Students are offered a broader range of subjects, preparing them for the educational choices of our Senior School.

Led by highly-qualified and caring staff, our teaching and learning revolves around our Middle School Academic Framework, which clearly identifies the skills and attributes we aim to build in our students. We empower them to be versatile, ethical and motivated individuals who collaborate, communicate and think creatively to achieve their best.

Deputy Principal and Head of Middle School Richard Lisle is a passionate believer in the curriculum at St Peter’s Girls, having worked at the School since 2011. He previously served as Coordinator of Gifted and Talented Education at Sydney’s Moriah College, and prior to that performed several leadership roles in the UK. Richard holds a Master of Education, postgraduate certificates in education and gifted education, and a Bachelor of Arts (History of Art). Richard is also a parent with two daughters at the School.

Under his guidance, the Middle School aims to provide a sense of belonging for each student. As part of our progressively challenging Outdoor Education Program, our girls are encouraged to connect with their peers, experience life outdoors and take controlled risks in beautiful natural settings.

Girls in Years 7 and 8 participate in our unique Futures program to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. Students develop independence, initiative and creativity as they seek out an authentic problem worth solving.

Our Middle School sets our girls up for success and fulfilment as they prepare for the challenges of senior schooling.
