Our Senior School sets us apart as a leader in education, career preparation and wellbeing.

Guiding students on the last leg of their schooling journey, our Senior School is a dynamic environment where students are challenged, inspired and empowered to step into their future with confidence and purpose.

Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders

Senior School at St Peter’s Girls is designed to equip each individual student with the academic rigour, personal support and leadership opportunities they need to thrive in their final years and beyond.

We celebrate individuality, foster independence and champion the pursuit of excellence in all its forms.

Our curriculum options, special programs and extra-curricular activities combine to arm our students with the tools to become women of character and influence.

A Choice of Curriculum

We believe students should have options when it comes to their study. Our two curriculum pathways, the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB), both provide an outstanding platform for future learning and career pathways. The best course is the one that suits the learning style and future studies of each individual.

We offer a wide range of subject choices, supported by outstanding teaching and personalised guidance to help each student find the path that suits her passions and goals.

Our signature programs in leadership, career readiness, wellbeing and gifted education further enrich the learning journey, ensuring all our students are equipped with the confidence, skills, and mindset to succeed in a rapidly evolving world.

A Legacy of Excellence

Year after year, our Senior School students excel in a wide range of areas. In academics, our Year 12s consistently reinforce our tradition of success.

In 2025, our top ATAR was 99.90, with 39% of SACE students achieving an ATAR of 95+. We are also proud to share that 71% of Saints Girls’ SACE grades were in the A band – almost double the state average of 37%.

Having expanded our STEM offerings in recent years, our students are now taking out top prizes at competitions across South Australia, not only empowering girls to uncover new passions but building solid in-roads into traditionally male-dominated fields.

Outstanding achievement, academically and otherwise, has been a hallmark of our graduates. We are always proud to see countless numbers of Saints’ Girls go on to realise their aspirations across a host of disciplines.

Strong Minds, Bright Futures

Our #EMPOWHER wellbeing program was created to support our students through many of the challenges facing young women today. From stress to mental health, self-esteem, sleep and the growing impact of social media, the program was developed specifically for the needs of our girls.

Students are provided with a range of strategies to build confidence and resilience. As the title suggests, it’s all about empowering our girls to be positive and happy individuals.

While this program is offered to all age-levels, we find it is particularly helpful for our Senior students, helping manage many of the stresses that come with academic pressure, future planning, and the challenges of growing independence.

Meet the Head of our Senior School

  • Lauren Sutton

    Deputy Principal/Head of Senior School

Before arriving at Stonyfell, Lauren Sutton held the crucial role of Director of Students at Mary MacKillop College, performing various leadership, pastoral care and wellbeing roles for a decade. Lauren is a graduate of Flinders University with a Bachelor of Education and Arts (Secondary), and more recently, a Master of Education (Management and Leadership).

A long-time netball player who has competed at State level, Lauren also brings her love of health and fitness into her role, encouraging students to thrive in all areas of life.

For Lauren, the Senior School years are about more than academic achievement; they’re a time for students to grow into empowered individuals who understand their strengths and feel inspired to make a difference in the world.
