Years 7 to 9
Middle School
At a time of exciting change, we provide guidance and structure to ensure our students move forward with confidence.
Middle School marks an important shift from primary to secondary learning. Our students are encouraged to embrace challenges, explore their passions and grow their independence.
Learning Spaces Designed for Connection
Featuring open and flexible learning spaces, the Middle School is designed to encourage collaboration and make learning visible. It’s a dynamic environment where students can connect and adapt, whether working in small groups, class settings, or as a whole cohort.
This engaging learning environment has been created to provide for the specific academic needs of adolescent girls, as well as their developing social, emotional and spiritual domains.
Our Curriculum. Foundations for Future Pathways
Our Middle School curriculum is designed to provide a strong academic foundation while encouraging students to think critically, explore creatively and collaborate effectively.
We offer a broad and balanced program that supports both core and specialist subjects. In addition to English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities, our students explore Languages, The Arts, Technologies and Physical Education. Our educators encourage students to make connections between disciplines and apply their learning in meaningful contexts.

Beyond the Classroom
We recognise that learning opportunities exist beyond the classroom. In Middle School, our students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone, try new things and develop lifelong skills and friendships through a rich array of opportunities.
Specialist Studies: Led by expert educators, our students benefit from specialist programs in areas such as Music, Languages and PE – providing a well-rounded education.
Co-curricular: A broad selection of activities including sports, music and performing arts allows every girl to build confidence and uncover individual interests.
Signature Programs: Our special programs are carefully developed to offer further learning opportunities and pathways in leadership, wellbeing, gifted education and future-focused, career-ready learning, preparing students to thrive in school and beyond.
Futures Program: Students in Years 7 and 8 participate in our unique Futures program, designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. Students develop their independence, are encouraged to take initiative and think creativity as they seek out an authentic problem worth solving.
Outdoor Education: As part of our progressively challenging Outdoor Education Program, our girls are encouraged to experience life outdoors, take controlled risks and connect with their peers all in natural settings.
Thriving in the Middle Years
Our #EMPOWHER wellbeing program was created to support our students through many of the challenges facing young women today. From stress to mental health, self-esteem, sleep and the growing impact of social media, the program was developed specifically for the needs of our girls.
Students are provided with a range of strategies to build confidence and resilience. As the title suggests, it’s all about empowering our girls to be positive and happy individuals.
