A Choice That Opens Doors
IB Diploma Programme
An alternate pathway to academic excellence and global opportunity
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme provides students with a globally recognised, academically challenging course designed to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring graduates. At St Peter's Girls, we know students thrive when they're challenged and encouraged to push themselves further.
We’re proud to offer the IB Program as an exciting option that gives our girls greater choice, inspires ambition, and supports them in reaching their full potential beyond what’s typically offered at other schools.
Course Structure
The IB Program was introduced to St Peter’s Girls’ School in 2012 as an alternative to SACE. This distinguished pathway is a two-year course and provides our Senior students an academically challenging pre-university course. The Diploma curriculum emphasises both breadth and depth of knowledge.
Students study six subjects as well as three core components:
- Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
- Creativity
- Activity
- Service (CAS)
- Extended Essay (EE)
These core areas broaden the educational experience and challenge students to apply their knowledge.
The IB Diploma is highly regarded by tertiary institutions both locally and overseas, opening doors for our graduates around the world.
