Academic Excellence

St Peter’s Girls’ School places high-quality teaching and a strong commitment to academic excellence at the heart of a holistic education.

Through a dynamic, globally focused curriculum, we nurture a genuine love of learning and empower our students to succeed. Students can undertake either the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). Offering our girls this choice inspires ambition and supports them in reaching their full potential beyond what’s typically offered at other schools.

Homestay

St Peter’s Girls’ School does not offer boarding facilities. Homestay provides full board accommodation with a host family, couple or individual. Homestays provide international students with a supportive family environment that encourages both academic success and social connection, while enabling girls to immerse themselves in Australian culture and engage more fully with the local community.

Students may choose from the following accommodation options:

  • Reside with a parent or nominated relative/guardian, in which case the School does not assume welfare responsibility.

  • Reside in School-approved homestay accommodation arranged in partnership with a registered homestay provider, where the School accepts responsibility for the student’s welfare.

Offers of Placement

Successful applicants will be issued a formal letter of offer together with a written agreement confirming the student’s placement. This agreement will detail the enrolled course, conditions of enrolment, all applicable tuition and non-tuition fees, and the student’s welfare arrangements. To accept the offer, families must return the signed written agreement and enrolment confirmation form, along with payment of the invoiced fees.

Once these steps have been completed, the School will issue the student with an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). For students under 18 years of age, where the School assumes responsibility for welfare and accommodation, a Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare (CAAW) will also be provided. These documents are required to support the student’s application for an Australian Schools visa (subclass 500).

Compulsory Overseas Student Health Cover

International students are required to have compulsory Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their course and an additional three months as per their visa requirements. The School will arrange this health cover with Allianz Insurance after confirmation is made.

  • Students must continue to have sufficient financial capacity to support their study and stay in Australia.
  • Students must stay in Australia with either their parent/legal custodian, a relative nominated by their parents who is over 21 years of age, or accommodation arrangements that have been approved by St Peter’s Girls’ School.
  • You must not change those arrangements without the written approval of your education provider. If your welfare arrangements are approved by your education provider, you must not travel to Australia until your welfare arrangements are due to commence.
  • Students must meet the course requirements set by the School.
