Wellbeing Programs
#EMPOWHER Wellbeing Program (Years 7 to 12)
#EMPOWHER is an innovative, age-appropriate wellbeing program tailor-made for our students, developed following comprehensive surveys of students and families. This bespoke program is a key pillar of the School’s Strategic Plan, cementing St Peter’s Girls’ reputation as a national leader in all-girls’ education and wellbeing.
The #EMPOWHER curriculum flows into Home Group sessions twice a week, where students are provided with a range of tools to tackle challenges facing young women, including stress, mental health, self-esteem, sleep, and social media.
URSTRONG Program (Junior School)
The URSTRONG wellbeing program supports students, teachers, and families in the Junior School. Students are taught the skills and language to establish and maintain healthy relationships while building resilience.
Topics and tools are also shared with parents, recognising that successful wellbeing programs empower schools and families to work in partnership.
Early Learning & Transition
Pathway to School (ELC – Reception)
St Peter’s Girls’ bespoke Pathway to School Program provides a highly focused ELC-to-school experience for all children during the 12 months prior to starting Reception. Children engage in an extended range of focused learning opportunities aimed at setting them up for a successful and positive start to school.
The program accelerates social, emotional, and self-management skills, further developing independence, organisation, and resilience. Literacy, numeracy, and STEM explorations are integrated daily through rich inquiries and play activities guided by problem-solving and creativity. Importantly, children’s wellbeing is placed at the centre, focusing on their individual growth.
Leadership & Career Development
Career.Ready Program (Years 7 to 12)
Designed for Years 7 to 12, the bespoke Career.Ready program equips students for the ever-changing digital age and connects them with industry leaders to prepare for future success.
The program incorporates the popular JobChat initiative, allowing students to explore fields of interest and connect with professionals, including many talented Old Scholars.
Microcredentials Program (Year 10)
Our innovative Microcredentials Program, delivered in partnership with leading universities, offers students the opportunity to gain university-recognised credentials while still at school.
Through hands-on learning experiences, workshops led by university experts and industry professionals, and authentic assessment tasks, students explore specialised fields of study and develop critical skills in their areas of interest. These programs provide a genuine taste of university-style learning, allowing girls to build their resumes, strengthen their learner profiles, and develop confidence in their chosen pathways.
Our current offerings include the Microcredential in Health and Medical Sciences in partnership with Flinders University, designed for students curious about careers in Medicine, Health, or Science. Students explore cutting-edge topics in health diagnostics and digital health, attend on-campus university experiences, and create reflective portfolios that showcase their learning journey.
By participating in Microcredential program, Saints Girls gain more than just academic recognition—they develop the critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills that will serve them throughout their tertiary studies and beyond. These signature programs exemplify our commitment to preparing young women not just for university, but for leadership in their chosen fields.
Leadership Matters Program (Years 7 to 12)
To complement the #EMPOWHER and Career.Ready programs, Saints Girls runs the bespoke Leadership Matters Program, based on international research and best practice audits of student leadership.
The program is arranged into four domains:

Academic Enrichment & Extension
EDGE Program
The EDGE (Extended, Differentiated, and Gifted Education) Program stimulates and challenges students while complementing and enriching classroom learning.
The program focuses on developing creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through Philosophy, STEM, Critical Literacy, and Design Thinking.
Tutor Program
Our Tutor Program is a complimentary service for Years 7–12, providing one-on-one support and nurturing positive study habits.
All tutors are recent Old Scholars – capable graduates who understand student life and the importance of confidence in learning. This flexible program allows students to access help at scheduled times, reinforcing classroom learning and strengthening study skills. Whether it’s extra support in a subject or guidance on a project, tutors empower girls to take ownership of their learning and work independently.
Community & Experiential Learning
Service Learning Program
The Service Learning Program gives students opportunities to engage in meaningful, practical service. Hands-on experiences allow students to demonstrate compassion, give back to the community, and practice leadership, organisation, and collaboration skills.
A range of international immersion experiences are also offered as part of the program, providing unique opportunities for global engagement.
Outdoor and Experiential Education
Saints Girls encourages students to challenge their thinking through learning beyond the classroom. The Outdoor and Experiential Education Program supports students in developing positive relationships with themselves, peers, staff, and the natural world.
The program connects closely with the #EMPOWHER wellbeing program and reflects the School’s values of Courage, Creativity, and Compassion.
