Our ELC features a range of programs for children and their families.

Playgroup

  • Age: Children aged 6 months – 2 years, accompanied by their parents/cares
  • Days: Tuesday or Wednesday mornings
  • Sessions: One session per week

Playgroup invites families to attend with their child in a shared and valued learning environment. A simple routine enables children to anticipate and engage. We value this special opportunity to connect with families, staff and the learning environment.

2 Year Old Program

  • Age: Children aged from 2 years. Placements are offered in Terms 1 and 3 only
  • Sessions: 2 – 5 day options are available

Our program for 2 year olds is specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of our youngest students. We recognise the importance of children’s capacity for relationships and provide an environment where these connections are fostered.

3 Year Old Program

  • Age: Children aged from 3 years. Placements are offered in Terms 1 and 3 only
  • Sessions: 2 – 5 day options are available

The three year old learning environment supports children to explore, discover, imagine and create with all of their senses. A child’s natural curiosity enables them to explore their environment and embrace a world of discovery and possibility.

4 Year Old Program

  • Age: Children aged from 4 years, however individual developmental needs will be taken into consideration. Placements are offered in Terms 1 and 3 only
  • Sessions: 3 – 5 day options are available

We foster the children’s explorations and research of their wonderings and questions and encourage children to express, document, reflect and celebrate. Quality small group experiences enable children to construct knowledge together.

Vacation Care programs

Each school holiday period, the ELC offers an exciting and popular Vacation Care program.

Children can attend as little or as much as needed and days can be selected to suit your schedule and commitments.

Children can attend the Vacation Care program for a full day or just half a day. Registration forms will be circulated prior to each period.

Our Voice

  • I love the small community and great teachers who care not only about their students’ grades, but also well-being and inclusivity for all.

    Eloise, Year 11

  • As a learner, I want to know more

    Gabriella, Year 12

  • Even though we have to get up early, I love rowing. Competing at the Head of the River made all the hard work worthwhile.

    Sophia, Year 10

  • I really like how when you walk down the main corridor, everyone says hi, including the teachers.

    Tegan, Year 6

  • Things I love about Saints? Non-judgemental, strives for excellence, wonderful opportunities, great teachers, international and multicultural.

    Klea, Year 11

  • The girls and the teachers are so friendly to be around and you can always get help from anyone in the class.

    Dimity, Year 8

  • The St Peter’s Girls’ ELC gives my daughter a place to be herself and explore her world in an environment she feels safe in and is immensely proud of.

    Current Parent

  • Everyone is supportive and it is a great School. I have been here all my life.

    Ebony, Year 8

  • I have always admired the passion the School has for developing girls who are well-rounded in all aspects of their academic, sporting and personal life.

    Current Parent

  • I love the girls and the friendly atmosphere. Everyone is really nice and caring. I love being able to come to School and talk to girls from all year levels.

    Emma, Year 8

  • Good results come from hard work, commitment (on both the teacher’s and students’ behalf) and the establishment of positive relationships between the teacher and the students. Mutual understanding and respect are key.

    Anne, Teacher
